Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing

Her Excellency Ms Quentin Bryce AC Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia has accepted the position of Patron of The Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing.

In announcing this appointment today, the President, Les Newman O.A.M. said this was further recognition of the importance of dance and a reflection of the international standing of the Society.

The CSTD now in its 77th year conducts examinations in all major dance disciplines throughout Australia and the Asian Pacific Region.

It also services a vast membership base in 15 countries providing not only examinations but dance festivals, competitions, teacher training and other membership services.
